Geography 

         

        We read a map by using the coordinates on the map. The edge of the map shows numbers and a degree sign to represent a location. The top and bottom numbers represent latitude, the side numbers represent longitute.  This will help you find the place you are looking for.The captial of Greece is Athens;  located  at 38 degrees north, 25 degrees east.
  
      Greece includes many chains of islands.  There are 3 seas that surround Greece. The seas are the Ionian Sea, the Aegean Sea, and the Mediterranean Sea.
  Some of the major city-states of ancient Greece are Athens, the capital; Olympia, where they held the first Olympics in honor of Zeus; Corinth, Sparti. Today Sparti is known as Sparta.
